The Giving Gallery is not only a place for artists to sell their work and share their thoughts about mental health. It’s also a place where folks can find resources and learn more about mental health. A estimates that 792 million people lived with a mental health disorder. This is slightly more than one in ten people globally (10.7%). And 1 in 5 adults in the US are currently living with a mental illness. It’s a common experience and you are not alone.
In fact, the story of The Giving Gallery all started with the Founder discovering creative expression in a psychiatric hospital as a path to recovery. Engaging in creative activities, such as creating artwork, can allow you to express yourself in ways that words might not be able to.
